Here's the Deal...100~Just DO IT

  1. Let them watch a parade, while you watch the awe in their eyes
  2. Swing with them at the park
  3. Go to the circus, even if you hate clowns
  4. The only time you'll like a clown is when you're at the Rodeo, so GO!
  5. Swim in a lake, and feel your feet in the muck at the bottom-and tell them how it feels
  6. Get in the car on a Sunday night, and GO-Somewhere-Break your own rules sometimes
  7. Dance with them to 'old' music
  8. Sing their songs with them, when the music is up too loud
  9. Hold them when they cry, even if they're bigger than you are
  10. Live with beliefs in God, Santa, The Easter Bunny, A Leprechaun, Halloween, & anything & everything else that is worth it's weight in gold all throughout the rest of your life
  11. Go to Disneyland
  12. Listen to them tell their storys
  13. Tell them storeys & Read them storeys...two totally different things...Use YOUR imagination
  14. Play Hide & Go Seek with them
  15. Build a lego castle
  16. Go on a hike, anywhere
  17. Bake with them
  18. Make Rules and abide by them yourself
  19. Teach them forgiveness
  20. Teach them to run in the rain & jump in puddles; I promise you won't melt
  21. Always have a goofy faced picture in your future, present, and past
  22. Laugh out loud
  23. Lay at night at watch the stars together
  24. Go camping
  25. Pass on traditions of your childhood and family
  26. Sleep under the stars, with the mosquitoes and weather...later on it will serve as a great story
  27. Roast Marshmallows, and make smores
  28. Play Monopoly
  29. Teach them to fish
  30. Go to their plays, games, and school events
  31. Have dinner in the living room for movie night
  32. Eat breakfast for dinner
  33. Let them choose their birthday dinner
  34. Teach them to respect themselves, and others-In that order
  35.  Cupcakes sometimes belong in icecream cones
  36. Take them to a concert, of someone they've never heard of-of a genre that is out of their realm-Open their ears
  37. Teach them to sort laundry
  38. Have a piggy bank first, then a savings account, then a checking account
  39. Go to the Library
  40. Cut down a Christmas tree at least once
  41. A smile costs nothing-Use it when necessary, Oh?-That's daily...Share it with them by leading by example
  42. Instill the giving spirit at a young age - Guide them to give-We all have something to give all-of-the-time-to-someone-else
  43. Say please, thank you, and excuse me-they will also
  44. Remain focused on who they are, where they are, and not on who they aren't, what they don't have & where they'd 'rather' be...
  45. Everyone makes mistakes-Acknowledge when you do, they will learn that it's okay themselves to make mistakes...
  46. Perseverance, Drive, and Passion are a must...Find what brings these things out in them
  47. Ride a train
  48. Ride an elephant
  49. Go to the zoo at least once
  50. Invite their friends over
  51. Play stare eyes without blinking with them (You'll laugh!)
  52. Ro-sham-Bo is a great tool of chance...to use for EVERYTHING!
  53. Grow something...a garden, a potato in a glass, find something...life is beautiful and available all around us
  54. Race to the car
  55. Frame, and hang their artwork...in your home
  56. Display their hard work on the fridge, no matter what...be proud of them at every chance you get
  57. Go out to eat and teach them to sit with dignity and honor the family with manners
  58. Get two scoops instead of one, every once in a while
  59. Ride your bike with them
  60. Be a parent, have rules; stick to them
  61. Be a kid & let go some of the time...it's okay...just not all of the time
  62. Know where they are, who their with, and when they're going to be back-They need YOU to mold them for responsibilities that this world ends up throwing at them...at light speed when they're 18-Whether you like the world to or not...Zing, their time is coming...Help them be prepared
  63. Say no
  64. Say yes
  65. Say I don't know, lets talk about it.  Ask them to reason why they believe it would or should be okay.  Teach them to talk it out.
  66. Let them change their hair, their room around, their style...these things change...Help them find themselves...they are not you...they are themselves...embrace who they are
  67. Protect them from danger
  68. Educate them, even if it's on tough matters and they think they know it all...be honest and upfront
  69. Donate your time with them towards a cause (Cancer walks, holidays, homeless,
  70. Go to the beach
  71. Fly a kite
  72. Have a party for no reason, have a party for a reason, have a party to reason
  73. Teach them who and where to go to in an emergency at all times, there is ALWAYS someone you can talk to~ANYTIME-ABOUT ANYTHING
  74. Play cards
  75. Eat dinner as a family...even if it's just two of you...eat together
  76. Find out the best part of their day-every day you can...and if something has happened that was negative...find a way to 'let it go'...no need to keep the yucky stuff
  77. Love their Grandparents...Spend time with them...
  78. Let them be the photographer for the day, the view from their height is far different....the important things, are just that...they're important to them...Gotta love the steps up to the museum.  If they weren't there, you couldn't go inside!
  79. Kiss in front of them.  Hold hands in front of them...Guide them to know what love is.
  80. Send them flowers
  81. Ride a roller coaster with them
  82. Teach them patience
  83. Let them fail, don't do it for them...Be there when they turn to you, and guide them - Don't TELL them, or remind them of their failure...they know full well where they are already
  84. Sing them lullabies, because you're a Lullaby Grammy Winner in their Book
  85. Greet them in the morning, and send them off to bed with a snuggle~Rituals are important
  86. Go on a picnic
  87. Make sure to have some good Monster Spray on hand...Lysol works wonders in those wee hours of the night.
  88. Know everything there is to know about their hero or heroine
  89. Remind them it takes all kinds to make this world go around. You won't like everyone.
  90. Take them to the see new babies, weddings, and funerals~The cirlce of life is truly amazing and a gift~Teach them to treasure theirs and others as such.
  91. Make a bird feeder and watch the birds come to eat from what they've provided for them~no matter what age, they love it
  92. Know that respect is earned, not given.  You earn their respect too.  Respect once lost, is hard to earn back...don't let go of the possibilities, and don't bank on it being there forever, because you own a title of "Mother" or "Father"...Be who you want them to see.
  93. Stay in your jammies one day-the entire day and watch movies
  94. Eat Fondue
  95. Have a tea party. 
  96. Learn something with them...do the research...about something neither of you know about~Learn together
  97. Know where the lava is in your house.  It's important
  98. Have a dog once during their childhood
  99. Cry in front of them, let them know you're human
  100. Love them every stinkin chance you can get....These my friends...are our children.  Our future.  Your future.
